Delete your Serifu account

This page explains how to delete your account and associated data for Serifu (Chinese name 漫幕 Serifu), the Android app published as com.serifu.reader. Serifu accounts are built on Google sign-in and use no password. No account is created if you use the app without signing in.

Option 1: Delete in the app (recommended)

1. Open the Serifu app and make sure you are signed in with Google.
2. Open App settings.
3. Select Delete account.
4. Read the confirmation notice, then tap Delete account.

Deletion takes effect immediately. The app signs you out afterwards, and you can keep using it signed out.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you have already removed the app, cannot sign in, or would rather not use the in-app option, you can request deletion by email:

Include the email address of the Google account you used to sign in to Serifu, and use "Delete account" as the subject line. To prevent someone else from requesting deletion on your behalf, we verify the requester's identity first and may ask you to reply from that Google account's mailbox. Email requests are handled manually and are not instant automatic deletion. We process them as soon as verification is complete and email you once it is done.

What happens after deletion

When your account is deleted, we delete or unlink the following account-related data:

• Your sign-in identifiers and the link to your Google account
• Active sign-in sessions on every device (other devices are signed out immediately)
• Your usage and quota records
• Feedback you submitted, including the contact email attached to it

To prevent abuse and for service security, legal compliance, and continued operation of the service, some data that can no longer directly identify you may continue to be retained. Necessary security records are kept for up to 90 days.

Account deletion cannot be undone. You can sign in with Google again later to create a new account, but your previous records will not be restored.
